요리에 대한 적성과 열성을 가진 젊은이들이 요리를 통해 자기 일과 사랑을 찾아가는 모습을 다소 코믹한 분위기로 그린 전문 직업 드라마. 손예진, 소지섭, 소유진, 권상우의 풋풋한 신인 모습을 직접 느끼실 수 있는 매력적인 작품 중 하나.

소유진이 분한 마시내 역은 당초 박진희가 캐스팅되었으나 상대 남자주인공 김효동 역에 정준이 뒤늦게 캐스팅되자 과거 영화 “하면 된다”에서 남매로 출연한 정준과의 스캔들에 대한 부담감 탓인지 도중하차 의사를 밝혀 소유진이 대타로 들어갔다.

이에 앞서 제작진은 코믹연기 강화의 필요성을 위해 당초 김효동 역이었던 김래원을 정준으로 교체한 바 있었다.

아울러, 김래원과 같은 소속사였던 양미라도 김래원의 하차에 따라 출연을 포기하여 홍수현이 대타로 들어갔다.

The drama is about two families that operate rival Chinese food restaurants, and the love stories of twenty-something high school graduates on their paths to becoming first-class chefs.

Hyo-dong treats his customers like kings and serves the best Chinese food in the area, but his restaurant has been struggling for some time. Built on his father's dedication and decades of hard work, the restaurant has been declining due to the aggressive techniques of their rivals. In the midst of this competition, Hyo-dong gets to know Hee-ae, a charming young girl who frequents the same cooking class. They also meet Shin-ae, a poor student with lots of determination and big dreams of owning her own restaurant someday. Hyo-dong falls for Hee-ae, but he later finds out that she is the daughter of the owner of deluxe eatery Golden Dragon, a ruthless rival who is out to destroy his father's restaurant.
